A Fall From Grace: It Gets Better

There was a boy named Jerome, and man was he up there, he had a lot of friends, and life overall was pretty much great, except for a couple things that happened at home a couple years before, but that is not important, but those things that have happened at home took a good chunk out of him, namely, his confidence. Jerome’s friends decided to make fun of him about a year before, and to his knowledge, it stopped keywords: to his knowledge. Well, Jerome had a big graduation trip coming up to Quebec, and man was he excited, he couldn’t even sleep the night before. When they were on their way to Quebec, they were all talking about how excited they were for the trip, one of Jerome’s friends brought a PlayStation 2, so everyone talked about playing Jerome’s Grand Theft Auto 3 game. During the first night, Jerome was falling asleep when he was jumped by his friend, Jeff and started to choke Jerome, and somehow the teacher found out, I guess because of all the commotion, and then another friend of Jerome, Clarence said that he was a snitch, even though Jerome never told anyone. But what happened next was that one of the teachers told Jerome’s mom, and well, let’s just say that she’s Jamaican, and she went flipping mother bear on the kid, he was so scared to the point where he decided to “snake” Jerome and ruin his reputation, which totally worked. After that, the full fledged bullying began, they isolated Jerome and then he lost all his friends, and no one would even talk to him unless they were about to make fun of them, and this happened every day. Until one day Jerome got closer to God, and he believed that no matter what, God will always be there for him, and in order for him to see the beautiful days ahead, he has to cope with the dark days that he was in now and he viewed this as a test, from God and as the late, great Tupac Shakur says: When I was alone, and had nothing, I asked for a friend to help me bear the pain. No one came, except God. When I needed a breath to rise, from my sleep. No one could help me.. except God. When all I saw was sadness, and I needed answers. No one heard me, except God. So when I’m asked.. who I give my unconditional love to? I look for no other name, except God”. Jerome now goes to highschool and I guess that his beliefs that there were brighter days ahead, was true, because he is happier now than ever before, remember how I said that things were going on at his home? Well God, worked those things out, too. And it is funny how even after everything, Jerome forgives those people who hurt him, and the funny thing is how they are acting like he did something to them, which is beyond me, how they seriously believe that he hurt them somehow. So long story short, God has a greater plan for each and every one of us, one that we as humans are too short-sighted to see, evidence of this would be when Moses and the Jews wandered the desert for 40+ years, and in the end they were lead to a beautiful place, and of course they questioned whether or not the travel would be worth it. And the though you may think that you have it tough, remember when Jesus died for your sins? Yeah, well he never complained though he was beaten gruesomely, mocked repeatedly, and when he wanted water, they gave him vinegar, and being crucified nails driven through his hands and feet, graphic I know, but it is the pure truth he went through all of that just for us and we do not even put him first in our lives, we let money, fame, and other secular things come first in our lives, I am not telling you to be perfect, but rather to hold God to some value in your life. And remember God only gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors. So please, keep your head up.
